Imagine if you could book a plane from your phone, just like an Uber, to take you across the ocean to a foreign land. We figure you'd take a lot more vacations since they're just a few swipes away. Well, on July 22, 2017, you can do just that.
As part of its 70th anniversary festivities, Singapore Airlines has partnered with Uber for a once-in-a-lifetime promo called UberPlane. It's available to all riders from Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, and Pasay City on the aforementioned date. Between 8 and 10am, riders can request for an UberPlane ride from the Uber app.
Three lucky users will win a round-trip economy ticket to a mystery location somewhere in Southeast Asia, complete with hotel accommodation. They'll be picked up on the same day and will be taken to NAIA Terminal 3 by 1pm to catch their flight. How's that for spontaneous? To make the trip even better, they'll get to enjoy the exclusive Manila SilverKris Lounge before take-off.
