Guinness World Records has reportedly recognized a new record: the fastest-ever drift by a car at a speed of 217kph.

According to TopGear.com, the record was recently achieved by Jakub Przygonski in a specially modified Toyota 86 that has an output of 1,086hp.

Of course, one of the inevitable consequences of drifting is the car\'s speed bleeding off, so to achieve the record, Przygonski initiated the drift at a speed of 256kph.

We think it won\'t be long before someone breaks this record.
