Volkswagen distributor wants to show brand is not just about Beetle

According to the sales and marketing head of Volkswagen\'s new Philippine distributor, a marketing research revealed that people almost exclusively associate the VW brand with one car model alone: the Beetle. This, said Automobile Central Enterprise\'s Arnel Doria during a media roundtable today at the Manila Polo Club in Makati, is the reason his company is launching a full range of vehicles this weekend.

\"We would like to position Volkswagen as the European brand designed for the most number of Filipinos,\" Doria declared.

The Beetle won\'t be available until the first quarter of next year. ACE is giving away a brand-new unit in an online launch promo.
