Volvo is renowned for its high safety standards. The Swedish carmaker has placed a particular focus on keeping children safe while inside its cars. In fact, it created the world's first rear-facing child seat prototype all the way back in 1964. Staying true to its company-wide commitment to child safety, Volvo Philippines recently continued its support for the Chosen Children Village Foundation.
Chosen Children is a private and non-profit organization committed to providing love, care, and education to socially, physically, and mentally challenged children. The folks from Volvo, along with partners from the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (NordCham), visited the foundation in Silang, Cavite.
Volvo shared a monetary donation to the foundation. The effort was spearheaded by NordCham president Bo Lundqvist, and was given in the presence of Swedish ambassador Harald Fries and his wife. The latter two were driven to the ceremony in the new XC90.
To our friends at Volvo Philippines, we salute you! Hopefully, the children in the foundation can now look toward a brighter 2017.
