Lexus proved its worth in the Philippine market as it grabbed the fourth spot in the luxury vehicle segment on its first year of local operations with 172 units sold in 2009.

When Lexus Manila first opened the doors of its showroom in Bonifacio Global City in January last year, it initially offered its flagship sedan, the LS460, along with other models like the mid-size ES350; its sportier stablemate, the GS460; its entry-level model, the IS300; and its full-size SUV, the LX 570.

In March, Lexus Manila brought in the brand's best-selling crossover, the Lexus RX350, with the sporty hardtop convertible Lexus IS300c in August.

Lexus Manila hopes to echo its 2009 success as it moves on to 2010.

"(The year) 2010 poses a lot of opportunity for growth, change and hope," Lexus Manila president Danny Isla said.
