Lexus Manila is supporting the 95th staging of Asia's oldest national golf open as the region's top professional golfers prepare to take on the newly-renovated Wack Wack Golf and Country Club East Course in the 2011 ICTSI Philippine Open.
Local defending champion Artemio Murakami is eager to defend his title not only against the Asian Tour's top golf pros but also against the country's young and talented golfers like Angelo Que, Antonio Lascuna, Juvic Pagunsan, Gerald Rosales and teen sensation Miguel Tabuena.
Besides the $300,000 (over P12.959 million) prize money, a lucky player who scores a rare hole-in-one can get to drive home a brand new Lexus CT200h.
Lexus, which has supported the game of golf since 2009, is sponsoring the Philippine Open for the first time by providing players a chance to take home the world's first full-hybrid luxury compact.
"Lexus, as the official car of the tournament is proud to support one of Asia's most prestigious golfing events," Lexus Manila said in its statement. "The partnership between Lexus and the Philippine Open reveals the synergy of prestige and the relentless pursuit of perfection."
The Lexus CT200h will be on display at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club during the duration of the ICTSI Philippine Open from May 12 to 15.
