Over the weekend, McLaren Automotive quietly opened the doors of its very first showroom in London.
McLaren's flagship showroom is located at One Hyde Park: The Residences at Mandarin Oriental. According to McLaren, like every retailer in its automotive network, the dealer that put up the showroom "has been selected for its ability to demonstrate an outstanding track record in offering excellent customer service and aftersales support."
"McLaren Automotive is committed to ensuring the experience customers have with their dealers in every market is as revolutionary as the MP4-12C sports car itself," the carmaker said in a statement. "For example, unlike any other automotive manufacturer, McLaren is stocking its retail network with a spare of every serviceable part for the MP4-12C: what McLaren calls its 'pitstop' service concept that ensures fast and efficient repair."
Two more McLaren showroms are scheduled to open in the United Kingdom within the next two weeks: in Manchester on June 30 and in Birmingham on July 5. The remaining 32 sites in the global network are due to be operational before the end of the year, starting with the European network by July.
In Asia Pacific, McLaren retailers are set to eventually open in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney in Australia, and Tokyo and Osaka in Japan. Too bad we won't have our own McLaren showroom then.
