Rumor has it that British United Automobiles, authorized distributor of Mini vehicles in the Philippines, is coming up with a configurator for the Countryman so local clients can personalize their respective units.
While we're waiting for that with bated breaths, Mini USA has launched its own Countryman configurator. Although you can't personalize it to look like the World Rally Championship contender Mini plans to compete with next year in the series, you can marvel at the options the Americans can choose from for their Countryman.
The center arm rest, for example, is an additional option at $250 while the leather and cloth accents for the seats and interior door panel are at $1,000. You can also specify if you'd like your Countryman to have a Harman/Kardon sound system or a huge dual-pane sunroof. You can even choose the design on the Countryman's valve stem caps as well as both the exterior and interior mirror caps.
Even the graphics for the bonnet, roof and even the door are being offered as options by Mini. The best, though, are the John Cooper Works options like the carbon fiber mirror caps, the black leather and suede sport steering wheel with carbon fiber spokes, or even the sport gauges.
Although we can only imagine what the local Mini Countryman configurator will offer as options for its few lucky buyers, one thing is for sure: some of us will never be rich enough to afford one unless we win the lotto jackpot tonight.
