The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is mulling the relocation of provincial bus terminals to centralized terminals in the outskirts of the metropolis.
The move is one of the ways the MMDA is looking at to ease traffic along EDSA, Philstar.com reported. The article quoting a radio interview with MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino said possible sites in Caloocan City and an area within the reclaimed land in Pasay City are being considered for the project.
In the article, Tolentino said the creation of the centralized bus depots will only be possible with the support and cooperation of the affected local government units.
"We are just recommendatory. We need the help of the local governments," the MMDA chief said.
