When Aprilia conceptualized the Tuono 660, it aimed to combine sporting versatility and a new 660cc twin-cylinder engine. Now, the Italian company has finally launched the naked sports bike.
The Tuono 660 not only adopts the RS 660’s power-to-weight ratio (95hp to 183kg), it also features the same double fairing aimed at improving aerodynamics. The model is fitted with a diecast aluminum frame and swingarm, as well as Kayaba adjustable suspension for better response and handling.
The naked sports bike’s engine is derived from the one used by the Aprilia V4. The electronic suite on board includes a ride-by-wire throttle and an Aprilia Performance Ride Control system that has multilevel traction and cruise control, engine braking, ABS, and engine mapping.
The Tuono 660 is equipped with triple LED headlamps and daytime running lights at the front. The rider can also choose from five riding modes—three for the road, two for the track—based on his skill level.
“No matter who’s in the saddle or the reason for being out and about, the Tuono 660 promises great performance, an elegant frame, plenty of premium features and, last, but not least, a fantastic riding experience,” the official release reads.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 comes in Concept Black, Iridium Gray, and Acid Gold.
