Traffic around Metro Manila is usually relatively light during Sundays and holidays. Generally, the roads are more open and less chaotic. Unfortunately, on days like these, some motorists still stick to their habits and drive like they’re rushing to beat coding or running late for a very important meeting.
Gadget Addict recently shared a video that was supposedly shot during a recent holiday, and it showed a lot of motorists getting apprehended on the EDSA Busway—the newest traffic violator hotspot in the metro. It was just as we said—light traffic, more peaceful roads—yet there were still a lot of people who chose to disregard traffic rules. The law doesn’t take breaks on holidays, you know.

Seriously, though: Why even risk getting caught on the exclusive bus lanes? To shave a few seconds off your travel time? It’s just not worth it, especially since there weren’t a lot of cars on the road to begin with and there wasn’t heavy traffic to crawl through.
What makes all this even worse is that a few motorcycle riders were able to run from the enforcers, and all of these were caught on camera. Whether or not they’ll actually get penalized for their behavior, we’ll probably never know.
