4,678 Grab and Move It partners get P5k cash aid on the first day of DSWD payout

The Department of Social Welfare and Development has begun distributing cash relief assistance to transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers, as well as motorcycle taxi and delivery riders in Metro Manila amid the fuel crisis. Starting with transport network companies Grab and Move It, the payout schedule is set from May 11 to May 15, 2026.

After the first day of payout, 4,678 Grab and Move It partners received the cash aid of P5,000. From the total beneficiaries, 1,092 were TNVS drivers, 2,766 were delivery riders, and 820 were motorcycle taxi riders.

2,364 out of 10,000 expected beneficiaries received their cash aid at the SMX Aura payout site in Taguig, and 2,314 out of another 10,000 target beneficiaries received their cash assistance at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.

The DSWD is working closely with transport network companies to ensure that partner drivers and riders are informed of their assigned schedule and venue. Aside from Grab and Move It, payouts for other transport network companies are expected to be finalized soon.
