Do you take the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) from Santolan Station regularly? If you do, but it’s actually some distance from your home, you might find this useful: Beginning today, April 27, 2026, free parking is now available daily at the LRT-2 Santolan Station for passengers with validated tickets.
This, along with the 50% discount on train rides for all passengers, is part of the government’s initiative to encourage the use of public transportation among vehicle owners. “Malaki ang matitipid kaysa kumonsumo sila ng gasolina o diesel na mataas pa rin ang presyo,” said Secretary Giovanni Lopez of the Department of Transportation. “Di lang yan, mapapabilis pa ang kanilang biyahe tungo sa kanilang destinasyon.”

The designated free parking area for LRT-2 passengers is along the eastbound side of Marcos Highway; entry/exit is along Evangelista Avenue. Parking slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 4am to 11:30pm daily; we have reached out to the LRTA to inquire approximately how many free slots are available. No overnight parking is allowed. The Light Rail Transport Authority (LRTA), which operates the train line, shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or any items inside.
LRT-2 Santolan Station: How to avail of free parking
- Upon entering the Santolan Parking Area, get a parking stub from security personnel.
- Take the LRT-2 to your destination, then proceed to the Passenger Assistance Office to have your parking stub validated. Validation is not available at Santolan Station.
- Back at Santolan Station, present your validated parking stub to security personnel to exit.
