Did you see the viral video of the motorist counterflowing on Skyway? What the hell, right? While the original video that made the rounds on social media over the weekend didn’t show any conclusion, there’s at least some good news: Skyway patrol was able to catch the guy before anything bad happened.
The best part is that after the motorist was caught, the Department of Transportation has stepped in and ordered the perpetual revocation of his driver’s license. No more driving for this guy for the rest of his life.

In case you missed it, there’s the footage above. This erring motorist was spotted by a fellow Skyway user—one who was on the correct side of the road—and was caught on camera. The short clip clearly showed the vehicle going against the flow of traffic. But even better, the DOTr also shared CCTV footage wherein the vehicle could be seen traversing the outermost lane on the elevated tollway. He was eventually pulled over by authorities right underneath a flyover and was ticketed at 3:32am.

“Hindi pu-puwede na suspendido lang ang lisensiya ng driver na ito dahil kitang kita naman sa CCTV footage na inilagay niya sa peligro ang buhay ng mga driver ng kasalubong niyang sasakyan,” said DOTr secretary Vince Dizon. “Ipinag-utos ko na i-revoke na nang tuluyan ang driver’s license ng pasaway na driver na ito nang hindi na pamarisan ang reckless driving niya.”
If you ask us, he deserves every bit of that. Nobody in their right mind would do something like this, and it’s proof that this man isn’t fit to be behind the wheel. Thankfully, nobody got hurt. But can you imagine if he hit another vehicle head-on, at highway speeds, at this ungodly hour? It would’ve been catastrophic.
