Starting October 15, the NLEX Connector will be charging motorists a higher toll fee, as approved by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

Drivers using the NLEX Connector will be charged flat rates of: P119 for Class 1 vehicles (regular cars and SUVs), P299 for Class 2 (buses and small trucks), and P418 for Class 3 (large trucks).

This adds up to a P33 increase for Class 1, P84 for Class 2, and a P116 hike for Class 3.

According to NLEX, “The toll adjustment is part of the program to collect the opening toll for the NLEX Connector on a staggered basis to cushion the impact to expressway users.”

The NLEX Connector prides itself on fast and smooth transactions at its toll plazas, being the first barrierless, 100% RFID expressway in the Philippines.

The initial rates were implemented four months after the opening of the Caloocan to España Section in March, 2023. NLEX then retained the original discounted rate for almost a year with no increase, coinciding with the opening of Section 2, España to Magsaysay Boulevard—allowing motorists to use a longer stretch of the expressway at a lower fee.

Once the NLEX Connector Project is completed, full rates will be implemented.

The NLEX Connector has been key in making travel between the north and Metro Manila more accessible for the public. Students, and teachers have an alternative route to the University Belt, while trucks have a 24/7 truck ban-free route that cuts through the city.

Don’t forget to check your balance before entering the NLEX Connector.
