As of 7:10am, March 21, three lanes are now passable on each side of the NLEX Marilao Interchange. NLEX Corporation still expects a traffic build-up of around 3.3km between the interchange and light traffic throughout the rest of the expressway.
Yesterday, an 18-wheeler truck collided with the Marilao Interchange Bridge which forced the tollway operator to close all but two lanes (pictured below) to start fixing the bridge and redirect traffic.

The bridge is still being repaired with metal supporters currently attached. This will allow Class 1 vehicles to pass through, however, Class 2 and 3 vehicles are still prohibited. A stop-and-go scheme is now being implemented on the bridge.

NLEX says the bridge may take two weeks to repair. That should be enough time before the Holy Week rush comes in April.
For those traversing through the expressway and the Marilao Interchange, NLEX recommends taking the following alternative routes:
Northbound vehicles heading to Bulacan or Pampanga are encouraged to take the Karuhatan Exit on the NLEX Harbor Link and other interchanges, and then reenter the expressway via the Ciudad de Victoria Entry or at the Bocaue Interchange.
For those headed south, NLEX recommends exiting at either the Bocaue or Ciudad de Victoria off-ramps which will then lead to MacArthur Highway and then another re-entry point at Meycauayan Toll Plaza.
