Pasig City has just opened a dedicated space for remote-controlled (RC) cars within the Maybunga Rainforest Park. Aptly called RC Park, the area features various terrain, a water bed, and obstacle courses with inclines, dips, and uneven tracks.
Select ramps and trails are built up and around trees and walkways, allowing RC cars to make full use of the open space. At the inauguration event, cars of all shapes and sizes christened the park, with dozens of remote-controlled Toyota Land Cruisers, Ford Broncos, and more hitting the track.

The new park will also serve as the home base for the Pasig RC Cars Crawlers, the city’s local club for hobbyists and enthusiasts. However, both Pasig City’s local government unit and the group itself welcome anyone interested in the craft to the RC Park. And in case you were wondering—yes, the park is even open to non-Pasig City residents.

Interestingly, the main trail is even equipped with street signs and traffic cones. While these are certainly cute decorations, we can’t help but think that these could also help younger RC enthusiasts learn more about general road safety rules and regulations. Nice touch.
Those potential lessons will probably come as they learn how to scale a tree or drive through a flood, but kudos to the city for building a comprehensive space for RC enjoyers. Have you visited RC Park? If you have, tell us about your experience in the comments section.
