Petron\'s Lakbay Alalay motorist-assistance program is helping the provincial government of Ilocos Norte in its \"Paoay Kumaway!\" tourism campaign, which is now on its second year of implementation. The campaign, which runs for this whole month of May, is \"a joint endeavor designed to make travelers more safety-conscious to ensure worry-free travel\" and, at the same time, promote the tourist spots in Ilocos Norte.
Road safety banners and streamers that promote the tourism campaign can be found in key Petron stations along the North Luzon Expressway, specifically along the southbound lane in Balagtas, Bulacan, and the northbound lane in Marilao, Bulacan, and Lakeshore; the South Luzon Expressway along the southbound lane in San Pedro, Laguna; and in the EDSA Cubao area. Supplementary streamers showcasing the tourism campaign are also visible in various parts of Ilocos Norte.
According to Petron, Ilocos Norte is a preferred tourist destination for its accessibility, rich cultural and historical heritage, and diverse activities such as water and sand sports, nature-based adventures, and new attractions like beach parties and special events.
This innovative motorist-assistance program is expected to inspire more exciting campaigns and to make traveling convenient and stress-free for motorists coming to visit popular tourist destinations in the province, like the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation in Burgos, the Malacañang of the North in Paoay, and the newly refurbished Ferdinand E. Marcos Presidential Center in Batac City.
