Heads up, motorists: Toll fares on the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway are set to increase effective September 9, 2025. Class 1 vehicles will be charged an additional P0.64/km, while Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles will need to pay an extra P1.29/km and P1.93/km, respectively.
More concretely, Class 1 vehicles traversing through the entirety of SCTEX—from Tipo, all the way to Tarlac—will absorb a P66 increase. To break that down, those in Mabalacat City headed towards Tarlac will see a P25 upcharge, while those going further north to Tipo, Hermosa, and Bataan will be charged P40 more.

For Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles traveling the entire length of SCTEX, toll increases of P131 and P197 will apply, respectively. Class 2 vehicles traveling from Mabalacat City to Tarlac will see a toll increase of P51, or P80 if heading toward Tipo, Hermosa, and Bataan. Meanwhile, Class 3 vehicles will be charged an additional P75 from Mabalacat to Tarlac, and P121 if driving to the same destinations further north.

This latest hike is part of a three-phase price increase that originally started back in 2020. The Toll Regulatory Board, along with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the NLEX Corporation—operator of SCTEX—planned out staggered price increases to soften the impact on motorists.
Since 2020, the expressway has seen many changes and improvements—highlighted by the completion New Clark City Interchange. Regular maintenance work and road improvement have also continued, while the expressway’s RFID system has undergone significant improvements. With this being the final price hike in the group’s plan, hopefully, there won’t be any more increases for the next few years.
