The SM Megamall Busway Station and Concourse is expected to break ground on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Once completed, commuters should have a covered and convenient walkway between the EDSA Bus Carousel and SM Megamall Building A.
To make way for construction, northbound lanes on EDSA–Ortigas Avenue will be closed every night from 1am to 4am. From Monday to Thursday, a partial closure will be in effect, while a full closure will be implemented from Friday to Sunday. With this, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be implementing a rerouting plan for the duration of the project. Construction is expected to conclude on October 18, 2025.
The DOTr has also confirmed that the EDSA Busway will remain fully operational during this construction period. Its 24/7 trips are expected to run as normal.

SM Megamall Busway rerouting plan:
- Light vehicles taking the Shaw Underpass will be allowed to turn right onto Doña Julia Vargas, then take a left onto Bank Drive. That will lead to a final right turn back to EDSA, circumventing the construction works.
- Light vehicles on the Shaw Service Road are similarly advised to turn right onto Doña Julia Vargas, then turn left onto Bank Drive. That will also lead to another right turn onto EDSA.
- Light vehicles on the Shaw Service Road can alternatively turn right onto Shaw Boulevard, then turn left onto San Miguel Avenue. That will lead to ADB Avenue, where they will take a U-turn onto Guadix Drive. From there, a final right turn will lead back to EDSA.
- Light vehicles on the Shaw Service Road can turn right onto Shaw Boulevard then left onto Camino Verde Road, which will lead to Meralco Avenue. Alternatively, motorists can also turn left at Oranbo Drive and take another left onto Captain Henry Javier, which will also lead to Meraclo Avenue. From there, motorists will turn left onto Ortigas Avenue then take a right onto EDSA.
- Light vehicles on EDSA northbound can turn right onto Pioneer Street, where they will eventually turn left onto Shaw Boulevard. From there, motorists will take a right turn onto San Miguel Avenue, then left onto ADB Avenue. It will lead to the U-turn toward Guadix Drive, after which they can turn right onto EDSA.
- Light vehicles on EDSA northbound can turn right onto Pioneer Street, and then turn right onto Shaw Boulevard. From Shaw, motorists will take another left turn onto Camino Verde Drive, then right onto Captain Henry Javier. That will lead to a left turn onto Meralco Avenue, where motorists can eventually turn right onto Ortigas Avenue and back to EDSA.
- Heavy vehicles on the Shaw Service Road are prompted to turn right onto Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, then take a left turn onto Meralco Avenue. From there, trucks and other heavy vehicles can turn left onto Ortigas Avenue, which will lead back to EDSA.
