The Undas celebrations are upon us, and if anything, that means more traffic along expressways and other major thoroughfares. SMC Infrastructure (SMCI), operator of SLEX, the Skyway system, NAIAX, TPLEX, and STAR Tollway, expects at least a 10% increase in vehicle volume over the long weekend.

To uphold the safety of all travelers throughout the next few days, the tollway operator has deployed several quick-response teams, equipped with various support vehicles, in case of emergencies. Road work has also been suspended until Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to ensure that all lanes are available to motorists.

24/7 Help desks are also available at various Petron stations, while SMCI personnel are monitoring traffic and emergencies around the clock.

Before heading out, drivers are urged to check the balance of their RFID account and top up if needed.

The One RFID, All Tollways program is in full effect across all expressways in Luzon, and account holders can voluntarily register their existing RFID online or at any Autosweep and Easytrip service centers, for free. Once completed, the chosen RFID will be readable at both SMCI- and MPTC-operated tollways, which should help in reducing long lines at toll plazas. New and first-time RFID applicants do not need to register their accounts, as all new stickers are already accepted at every Luzon-based plaza.
