If you live in the Quezon City area that the Skyway Stage 3 runs on, you will be pleased to know that San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has opened the Quezon City avenue ‘Maria Clara’ northbound exit last December 28, 2024. The opening was timed to help accommodate holiday traffic, and is expected to ease congestion in a key route for motorists accessing QC.
“We’re opening the Maria Clara exit just in time for the last long weekend of the year, when many of our countrymen are traveling for New Year’s celebrations. This exit has been long-awaited by our motorists in Quezon City, who now have a convenient alternative,” said SMC Chairman and CEO Ramon S. Ang.

Ang said this extension exit will not have additional toll fees, and motorists will be charged the same toll rate as those exiting Quezon Ave northbound. “We are grateful to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) for their support and close coordination with our operations team to open the Maria Clara exit for the benefit of the motoring public,” Ang added.
An interim permit to operate was issued by the TRB after notifying SMC that it had sufficiently complied with the requirements.
Opened in the middle of the pandemic, Skyway Stage 3 serves as a vital link between north and south of Metro Manila. It runs from Gil Puyat avenue in Makati to Balintawak in Quezon City.
