What. A. Year. It was an incredibly busy 2024 for the car industry, sure, but it was equally as busy for the two-wheeled side of the market.
There were a lot of changes across the board—some good, perhaps some bad—but ultimately, it led to a lot of activity across the industry. Left and right, brands were unveiling new products non-stop, and we could only try as best as we could to cover all of the happenings.
Anyway, enough rambling. Here are the 15 biggest motorcycle launches in the Philippines in 2024. Note that these handpicked models were arranged in alphabetical order. Enjoy.
1) Aprilia RS 457

Aprilia’s first true entry-level offering: a twin-cylinder sportbike that costs just P348,000. The brand doesn’t always make noise like its Japanese or European competitors often do, but the market sure did take notice with the arrival of the RS 457.

2) BMW F900 GS / BMW F800 GS

BMW Motorrad gave its GS lineup a major overhaul last year. It ended 2023 with the launch of the R1300 GS, and it hit the ground running in 2024 by bringing in the F900 GS and F800 GS twins.
3) BMW R12 / BMW R12 nineT

The German motorcycle manufacturer also launched the R nineT’s successor, the R12 and the R12 nineT in 2024. We were lucky enough to have been able to try out the R12 before the big launch—you can read more of that Launch Pad feature here.
4) BMW R1300 GS Adventure

BMW Motorrad ended its series of launches this year with no less than the R1300 GS Adventure, arguably the biggest model in its lineup. It packs a bigger tank, more features, and a much beefier-looking design than the standard GS. It starts at a pretty hefty price tag of P1,895,000.
5) CFMoto 450MT

Easily one of the biggest arrivals of 2024 came courtesy of CFMoto with the global launch of the all-new 450MT which was held right here on our shores in El Nido, Palawan. It eventually went on to win Top Gear Philippines’ Big Bike of the Year Award, a testament to just how important this new adventure bike is to our market.
6) CFMoto 500SR Voom

Motostrada wasted no time in launching the all-new CFMoto 500SR Voom here in the Philippines. Just shortly after the global launch in China, the bike already made its way to our market.
7) CFMoto 675SR-R

But the 500SR Voom wasn’t the only launch from CFMoto that night—it also unveiled the brand’s first-ever three-cylinder bike, the 675SR-R. And the launches didn’t stop there, as the track-ready sportbike and the four-banger screamer were also joined by the 150SC and the 800MT-X. CFMoto really went wild this year.
8) Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

Ducati Philippines and Access Plus were quite busy in 2024, but one of its biggest events of the year might have to be the launch of the new Hypermotard 698 Mono. This also happens to be one of the most exciting Ducatis we’ve seen in a while.
9) Honda EM1 e:

It’s not all high-revving superbikes and big, menacing adventure bikes that made the 2024 list—Honda Philippines’ (HPI) humble electric two-wheeler has also made the cut. Out of all the models HPI released last year, this has to be the most important one to date.
10) Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 / Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

Under its new management in Motociclista Scatola (MSI), Indian brand Royal Enfield found new life and kicked off this new era with the launch of the all-new Himalayan 450 and the Super Meteor 650. The all-new Himalayan was also in strong contention for our Big Bike of the Year in 2024, which tells you everything you need to know about how big this launch actually was.
11) Royal Enfield Shotgun 650

The Shotgun 650 was one of the most fun launches of 2024, with MSI treating us to a proper test ride of this new RE on Marilaque during the launch. This bike’s also one of the most hip Royal Enfield models we’ve seen since the Scram 411, and it’s nice to see that the brand’s capable of going in this direction as well.
12) Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

The Shotgun 650 was followed immediately by another hip Royal Enfield: the Guerrilla 450. While it’s only a thumper and has much less power than the Shotgun, the Guerrilla has been touted as one of the most fun-to-ride Royal Enfields yet. You bet we’re eager for a test ride.
13) Suzuki Gixxer SF 155

Suzuki Philippines (SPH) also got busy in 2024, and the Gixxer SF 155 was one of its most prominent launches of the year. It’s an impressive proposition: it looks bigger than it actually is, has ample power, and is fun to ride. We’ll also be adding this to our bikes-to-review in 2025, that’s for sure.
14) Triumph Speed 400 / Scrambler 400 X

The arrival of Triumph’s entry-level 400cc duo marked the brand’s entry into a segment it previously had no presence in. Who would’ve thought you’d eventually be able to own a Triumph for less than P300,000, right?
15) Yamaha PG-1
