Ducati put the industry on notice when it released its new single-cylinder bike at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori (EICMA) last year: the Hypermotard 698 Mono. Now, Access Plus has officially launched it here in the Philippines.
The new Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono makes its debut boasting the same styling that won it the ‘Most Beautiful Motorcycle’ at EICMA 2023. It’s got that signature aggressive Hypermotard look with the inverted shocks, high exhaust, and road tires but without the exposed trellis frame.

The highlight here is the engine, which is a 659cc Superquadro Mono that puts out 77.5hp at a whopping 10,250rpm and 63Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The powertrain has the same 116mm bore and 62.4mm stroke derived from the Panigale. With a Termignoni racing exhaust in track configuration, power jumps to 84.5hp.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono sits on 17-inch wheels shod in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. Stopping power is handled by a 330mm aluminum front disc with a Brembo M4.32 caliper and a 245mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. Overall, it weighs just 151kg when wet and has a 904mm/35.6-inch seat height.

The bike gets Bosch Cornering ABS for both the front and rear wheels. Other features include multiple ride modes, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Ducati Quick Shift.
As far as prices go, the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono starts at P790,000 for the base variant, while the higher RVE trim goes for P845,000. You can check out the full price list and more photos of this new Ducati below. What say you, readers?
