The annual celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno, or the Feast of the Black Nazarene, happens on Thursday, January 9, 2025. As in previous years, the event is celebrated over several days, with religious activities held at Quiapo Church and Quirino Grandstand, culminating in the Traslacion procession from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church.
January 9th has already been declared a special (non-working) day in Manila City via Proclamation No. 766 issued by the Office of the President. Just to stress, the holiday declaration applies only to schools and offices in the City of Manila, so if you live there or pass through in your daily commute, but you work in another city, make sure to plan your route ahead.
