The Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) Foundation has been dissolved as a new management team takes control of the facility starting April.
"HSDC as a foundation will cease its operations at the end of this month but HSDC will still operate under the Public Relations department of Honda Philippines, Inc.," said HSDC communications head Pamela Dacanay.
Honda Philippines, Inc. is the motorcycle manufacturing arm of Honda Motor Company in the Philippines.
Most of the training personnel will remain in the revamped HSDC but the senior management team, including general manager Arnel Doria who has been with Honda in different capacities for 23 years, will no longer be part of the organization.
The Honda Safety Driving Center was established by Honda Philippines and Honda Cars Philippines in 2007 as a non-stock, non-profit group that aims to promote road safety and driver education.
HSDC's training facility at Km 17 East Service Road in Parañaque has trained thousands of vehicle drivers and motorcycle drivers since it formally opened in April 2008.
