For those who've been wanting to go racing in a Nissan GT-R but find it blasphemous to butcher it to fit in some race-specification kit, the long wait is over. Nissan has finally come out with a track-ready version of its iconic performance car.
Dubbed as the Nismo GT-R RC (short for Racing Competition), the race-ready Godzilla displayed at the Tokyo Auto Salon, has a slick tire-compatible suspension, lightweight components and special safety equipment and devices like a welded roll cage that meets the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile's standards, a 120-liter safety fuel tank from ATL as well as air jacks.
Though Nissan neglected to say if the GT-R RC's powertrain has received any significant modifications, the Japanese carmaker did say that it is ready to compete in various production races held worldwide.
We're sure this is going to be one expensive race car so we seriously doubt it if we'll see one on the grid of the Philippine Touring Car Championship.
