Oil firms cut fuel prices by as much as P1

Talk about a post-Valentine's day gift

Oil companies are giving motorists a belated Valentine's day gift as they roll back the price of their petroleum products by as much as P1.

Independent oil player Seaoil Philippines was quick on the draw as it was the first company to slash P1 off the price gasoline products at 12:01, February 15. It is implementing a 25-centavo cut on the price of diesel and 50-centavo off its kerosene price at 6 p.m.

Pilipinas Shell and Chevron Philippines (formerly Caltex) have also announced similar price adjustments to take effect at 12:01 a.m., February 16.

Petron will be implementing a similar rollback on the price of its petroleum products at 6 a.m. tomorrow.
