Oil firms raise pump prices

... after two rounds of rollbacks before Christmas

Oil companies raised fuel prices by as much as P1 a liter on Tuesday due to higher costs in the international markets.

Pilipinas Shell was the first to implement a hike of P1 a liter on the price of gasoline and 50 centavos a liter on diesel and kerosene.

The move was followed by Petron Corp., Phoenix Petroleum and Chevron Philippines (formerly Caltex).

This is the first time oil firms raised prices since they implemented two rounds of rollbacks before Christmas.
