Rising oil prices in the global market has prompted local oil firms to hike pump prices by as much as P2 a liter.
Pilipinas Shell was the first to hike prices at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. It raised diesel prices by P2 a liter and gasoline prices by P1.50 a liter.
Petron, Total Philippines and Eastern Petroleum implemented price hikes of similar rates at 6 a.m.
Around noon, Chevron Philippines (formerly Caltex) jacked up gasoline prices by P1.25 a liter, diesel by P2 a liter, and kerosene by P1.50 a liter.
