Tornados weren't the only force of nature that recently ravaged through the eastern part of the United States as floods have also inundated parts of Kentucky. One Porsche owner may have learned from what happened to our cars during the wrath of Ondoy in 2009 as he or she knew just what to do to save the car.
According to Jalopnik.com, the Porsche owner used an inflatable boat lift, which is basically a large, industrial-strength inflatable mattress, to lift the car out of the ground and out of the reach of the floodwaters once it reached the house. To prevent it from floating away, the owner tied the boat lift/raft/mattress to one of the posts of the rail that surrounds the house.
We bet that after reading this, the owners of the Porsches and Ferraris that were ruined by Ondoy now have the words "inflatable boat lift" on their things-to-buy checklist.
Would you do the same for your car?
