TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Enzo Pastor loses second-place Euro Nascar finish to penalty

It was a bittersweet ending for Enzo Pastor's campaign in the 2013 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Open Championship. After Pastor finished the season's last race in second place at Circuit-Bugatti Le Mans yesterday, October 13, he was handed a 30-second penalty following a racing incident with eventual second-place finisher Vincent Gonneau, relegating Pastor to sixth place.

Although the race organizers handed the penalty to Pastor, his father, Philippine Formula Autosports Foundation president Tom Pastor, noted that in his son's in-car camera, Gonneau had lost control of his car and spun out, initiating the contact with Enzo.

Despite the setback, however, Pastor finished his debut season in the series in impressive sixth place overall.

Shall we give our guy a euphoric round of applause?
