Looking to capitalize its renewed involvement in the World Rally Championship, Hyundai has announced that it is launching its 'N' high-performance arm, which "brings together Hyundai Motor's technology and innovation with the learning from motorsport to provide a new experience for customers."
According to Hyundai, the name 'N' was inspired "in both name and spirit" by the Korean carmaker's Namyang Research and Development Center in South Korea. The Namyang R&D Center reportedly collaborated with Hyundai Motorsport in developing the i20 WRC rally car and is "at the heart of the technological innovation and development that serves as the driving force behind Hyundai's growth as a global brand."
Incidentally, Hyundai made the announcement at the unveiling of its i20 WRC rally car.
So, we guess we'll be seeing N-tuned Genesis Coupes, Elantras and Accents in the near future.
