When the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon opens its doors to the public on January 11, Toyota will have on display its 86-based Griffon concept, which both Toyota Racing Development and Gazoo Racing have worked on.
Before the show's opening, TRD has uploaded a teaser video for the Griffon concept on YouTube. From what we've gathered in the video, the concept car received new underbody panels to help its aerodynamic profile and some carbon-fiber bits to lower its weight even further. Even the car's exhaust was routed into a single, center-mounted setup, replacing the original dual-exhaust approach and giving it a deeper, throatier burble.
We'll just have to wait a couple more days to find out everything about this concept car. In the meantime, check out the teaser video below.
