Traffic in the Makati business district will be rerouted starting at 6pm on March 31 as the city celebrates Earth Hour, which will be marked by the ceremonial switching off of lights and a parade.
According to Ayala Property Management Corporation traffic consultant Estela Lomat, the parade will start in front of the Makati Central Fire Station on Ayala Extension at 6pm. As the parade approaches the intersection of Paseo de Roxas, the westbound lanes of Ayala Avenue from Makati Avenue to Paseo de Roxas will be closed to traffic until its tail end gets inside the Ayala Triangle Gardens and Tower One and Exchange Plaza driveway at around 7pm.
Motorists on Ayala Avenue who are headed toward Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue are advised to turn right at Makati Avenue, left at Paseo de Roxas and right at Ayala Avenue to reach their destination. On the other hand, vehicles along Paseo de Roxas from Legaspi Village going toward the direction of Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue are advised to turn right at Ayala Avenue and left at Makati Avenue to reach their destination.
