TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Volvo S60 aces US highway safety agency crash tests

The Volvo S60 has joined the Chevrolet Camaro as the only vehicles to achieve a perfect score on the United States' National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) safety tests.

Like the Camaro, the S60 scored a perfect five-star rating in the 56kph frontal barrier and 62kph side crash tests for both the driver and the front-seat passenger. For the rollover test, it only had a 10-percent chance of turning turtle, just 1.3 percent more than the American pony car's 8.7-percent rating. Overall, this gave the Volvo S60 a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA. If anything, this only proves that Volvo's long-standing reputation for safety is truly well-deserved.
