The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has landed in the Philippine market. Aside from serving as the brand’s flagship electrified offering in the local market, it’s also a culmination of all the strengths honed by the Japanese carmaker over the years.
It’s a showcase of Mitsubishi’s SUV engineering expertise, trademark Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology, and MIVEC efficiency—all while embracing electrification under the tagline ‘The Power of Both Worlds.’
And that’s more than just a slogan. The Outlander PHEV is powered by a 2.4-liter MIVEC engine paired with dual electric motors and a 22.7kWh battery. This setup is good for 302hp, 450Nm of torque, and almost 1,000km of range. With multiple electric drive modes, power delivery is also incredibly flexible; in full EV mode, it offers up to 100km of pure electric driving.

Mitsubishi also pairs this power setup with its renowned Super All-Wheel Control or S-AWC system. This lets the Outlander PHEV intelligently coordinate its all-wheel drivetrain with traction and stability assists like Active Yaw Control. In other words: optimal maneuverability to overcome unpredictable conditions on the road.
The Outlander PHEV’s athletic SUV build and Dynamic Shield fascia make for an unmistakably Mitsubishi look. Along with the twenty-inch two-tone alloys, full LED lighting, and selection of three signature Mitsubishi exterior colors—White Diamond, Red Diamond, and Black Diamond—it has a commanding presence on the road that’s worthy of its performance and off-road capability.
Under the metal, Mitsubishi’s use of steel in key parts of its frame is a deliberate choice to help reduce vibrations and noise while traveling at speed. The Outlander PHEV might be rugged and powerful, but Mitsubishi hasn’t foregone the comfort and refinement that goes into making a good daily driver.
Inside, the cabin is decked out in light gray leather upholstery and complemented by a panoramic sunroof to create a plush and lounge-like experience. Other creature comforts include eight-way power seat adjustment with heating and ventilation for the front row, as well as an eight-speaker Yamaha premium sound system.
The Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing suite adds a layer of safety and reassurance to the Outlander PHEV’s feature set. Forward collision mitigation, blind-spot warning, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and driver-attention alert are all here to help keep passengers out of harm’s way. This vehicle also comes equipped with a full loadout of airbags for everyone on board, plus a 360-degree camera for convenience.
