Just like a car show, only wetter

When friends get together with their old-school rides, it's enough to stop traffic. Nothing can be cooler than hanging with your buddies and proudly displaying your ride for all to see. That's exactly what happened during the swap meet last Sunday. Sadly, my wagon is still in the shop, but that didn¹t stop me from hanging out with some of the guys that I met through this blog. There is a good chance that you will meet people that will be happy to share information about your car with you, and also the locations of some surplus shops to find parts. But more than hunting down what you need, it's just cool to hang out and chill. Making friends is the more important thing, I think. We shouldn't come off as super desperate, 'no? It rained hard last Sunday, but the cars kept on arriving. That's the spirit! I've seen the baby blue Lancer around. My family used to have one exactly like it when I was younger. Too bad that we let it go! This is sweet! There was a whole bunch of Galants around the parking lot. I'm telling you, this car is special. I think that Galant owners can attest to that. Must be the Saturn engine, or the very unique lines and looks. A meet wouldn't be complete with the box-type. The one below is kitted out in rally garb. Beside it is a Ford Escort. Hmm, these two rides make a great pair. Naturally there were scores of Toyotas. This red Sprinter is done up really well. This group looks good enough to eat. You've got to love the colors. If it wasn't raining it would have been easier to chat with the owners of these cars and take some detail shots. I'm very curious about the stories that the owners have to tell.
