Watch Lucy and Lia Block take on Pikes Peak to honor Ken Block

Tributes for Ken Block just keep pouring in. Following the premiere of the final Electrikhana video, there is yet another film that highlights the original Hoonigan’s legacy. Not only that, it also puts the spotlight on his wife and daughter, Lucy and Lia Block.


Dubbed 43 Fortitude: A Continuing Legacy | Pikes Peak 2023, it shows a behind the scenes look at Lucy and Lia Block’s prep for Pikes Peak. Also known as the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, it was an even Ken Block was supposed to run in 2023 with the Hoonipigasus.

Unfortunately, the tragic events of January 2023 meant that wasn’t meant to be. Nonetheless, the Lucy and Lia powered through to make it happen.


The climb was held from June 19 to 25, 2023. The course measured 19.9 kilometers long with an elevation change of 4,302 meters. On the way to the top, drivers have to go through 156 corners, from fast sweepers to tight hairpin bends. Oh, and some parts of the course don’t have guardrails.

For the 2023 run, Lucy Block drove the Sierra Echo battery-electric UTV. The lightweight race car makes 300hp and 499Nm of torque, and is rear-wheel drive. Lia, on the other hand, drove the Hoonipigasus for a demonstration run.


The documentary runs for 31 minutes and comes with packed with action and a whole wave of emotions. Once you’re done with it, there’s no doubting the Block family’s love for motorsport.
