We're well aware that a lot of TGP readers (and even some of the staffers) are avid fans of toys, especially if they're fashioned after cool cars. Our social media posts about RC cars and scale models usually get a lot of likes and comments. So when we discovered Jan Calleja's Instagram page and saw that he makes bespoke toys based on iconic cars and brands, we knew we had to seek the man out and feature him on our website.

Jan is a full-time toymaker who works out of a studio in Quezon City. He sculpts and customizes toys from parts he finds and little knick-knacks that catch his fancy. Beneath his unassuming demeanor lies the mind of a true artist who draws inspiration from anything and everything around him. His studio pieces include toy robots that are tributes to the top Formula 1 teams of the '60s, and a sculpted piece that's painted to look just like a Vespa.

Watch our video to get a glimpse of how Jan creates his unique toys and to gain an appreciation for his craft.
