Meet the Adventure Truck. Made by a company called Global Expedition Vehicles (GEV), it can be based on a RAM 5500 or Ford F-550 pickup in either single or double cab form. So whatever the case, you’re getting an engine boasting over six liters of capacity, with the potential for there being a Hemi V8 petrol underneath if you’ve picked a RAM.

Onto the back of that pickup, GEV has plonked what’s essentially a fiberglass studio flat, with sleeping space for two, a kitchen, and a bathroom. When you’re buying a car where a microwave is on the options list, you know you’re buying into something pretty special.
And you really should spec the microwave, because the places a vehicle this rugged will take you are the kind that aren’t overrun with fine restaurants. Or even shawarma stands.
