It's hard to believe that the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) has now been going strong for 13 years. To put that into context, it started in the same year that YouTube was founded. If the recently concluded 2017 show is any indication, it looks like the event will continue to grow for years to come.
This year, a record-breaking crowd of 128,000 people flocked to the World Trade Center in Pasay City to check out the event. And it was an exciting one, to say the least. We witnessed the launch of the Honda Civic Type R, as well as Mazda's triumvirate of the MX-5 RF, all-new CX-5, and all-new CX-9. Then there were the usual but strong staples, like the Russ Swift show, the customized rides, and many accessory booths.
Here's hoping that the 2018 show is even bigger, with more exciting cars for us to look forward to. In the meantime, press play on the video above to check out some of the highlights of this year's show. What was your favorite part of the 2017 MIAS?
