The 2025 Hyundai Creta has officially landed in the Philippines, reinvigorating its push in the highly competitive subcompact crossover segment.

Where the previous generation Creta looked like the Tucson’s smaller sibling, this new, facelifted version takes style cues from the full-size Palisade SUV. Industrial and modern looks now carry the new Creta, but Hyundai Motor Philippines has also added the N Line version, injecting a sporty and spirited driving option to the lineup.

There are four variants to discuss, so without further ado, here is everything you need to know about the 2025 Hyundai Creta:

Variants and prices

The facelifted Hyundai Creta is now offered in four variants, and gone is the base variant with a manual transmission. All Creta variants now come with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission, the brand’s proprietary CVT. However, the turbocharged N Line variant gets a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Exterior

As mentioned, the new Hyundai Creta takes inspiration from the bigger, more executive-looking Palisade. The quad-beam headlights angle the fascia into a flatter, rectangular shape that looks much more modern than the previous generation.

The rear end received the same treatment as the new taillights follow the same rectangular shape, with the main light stretching across the tailgate. Gone are the big CRETA letters that used to fill out the tailgate; instead, a neat Hyundai logo sits in the middle of the door, and a low-key Creta badge is found on the lower-left corner.

The 17-inch wheels have also been redesigned in a flatter, more aerodynamic shape, which complements the rectangular motif of the car nicely. The wheels on the N-Line follow the same shape, but in a bigger 18-inch size. There’s also a nifty ‘N’ badge in place of the usual Hyundai logo.

Interior

The Creta gets a major redesign on the inside. Twin digital panels are mounted on the dash, with the A/C controls right below. This part of the cabin has also been reworked, and it now borrows the more modern layout from its stablemates.

In the N Line variant, the Creta boasts red contrast stitching on the seats and the center console, red trim on the dash, and additional red lighting on the passenger side of the cabin. ‘N’ badges are also embossed on the bottom of the steering wheel and the gearshift lever.

Engine and specs

Hyundai has carried over the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine on three of its four variants, including the Premium IVT model. Just like the previous generation, the powertrain makes 113hp and 144Nm of torque with its IVT.

Unlike the Creta N Line versions we saw in Indonesia and Thailand, the locally spec’d Creta N Line gets a beefy 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is good for 158hp and 253 Nm of torque. This N Line also gets traction control settings for driving over rough terrain.

Extra features

The top-spec Creta variants come equipped with adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and a 360-degree-view camera are also available in N Line trim. Hill-start assist, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity come as standard. The base variant gets an 8-inch infotainment system, while the rest of the range comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen head unit.
