The beautiful city of Iloilo recently served as the venue for the second leg of Isuzu's 4x4 Extreme Experience event. Fresh from its successful run in neighboring Cebu City, Isuzu Philippines, with the help of Isuzu Iloilo Corporation, brought the brand experience closer to its Ilonggo fans. From September 21 to 23, Festive Walk Mall in Mandurriao's Iloilo Business Park became a party venue, with parts of its central parking structure and adjacent areas closed off to accommodate the full 4x4 experience.
The event is a full-on tour of what Isuzu's latest 4x4 vehicles can offer the buying public, with numbered stations to help participants fully understand the brand and its vehicles.
Among these stations was the 4x4 ride experience, where Isuzu showcased its in-house test trailer, fittingly called the Action Ramp, as the central attraction. The new Blue Power D-Max, powered by a 3.0-liter engine that generates 177hp and 380Nm, was the star of this station, with multiple units traversing the test course to give passengers a feel of what those engine figures are really capable of in real life. Obstacles like entry and exit ramps as well as a two-storey incline allowed passengers to witness just how adept the 3.0-liter D-Max is at being a 4x4 vehicle.
After the exhilarating trip up and down the Action Ramp, participants were free to roam the other stations. They could test-drive the MU-X and the D-Max RZ4E around the mall's roadways, or check out the mini-showroom to find out more details about the vehicles. Parts purchases for dealer options were neatly displayed in one station, while at another section, the Overland Concept D-Max proudly flaunted its aftermarket accessories. There were also kids' areas and a photo booth to entertain the participants.
As night fell, Isuzu brand ambassador Maja Salvador headlined the entertainment festivities, which also included a dance competition.
The Isuzu 4x4 Extreme Experience will soon be heading farther south, so keep tabs on the event here, or follow Isuzu Philippines on its social-media accounts.
