Hard to believe this particular Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 started life as a lightly modified supercar. A previous turbo mod failed, causing a massive fire that destroyed the whole thing.
Enter Chris Steinbacher, who purchased the fire-damaged shell of the Huracan, and decided to embark upon a series of rather more serious modifications that’ll eventually result in the image you see above. In short, it’ll be a twin-turbo Lamborghini Huracan with a manual gearbox.
Steinbacher is planning on this Huracan to produce around 1,000hp, because why the hell not. Said power will be deployed via the medium of truck—specifically, a ‘junkyard’ find iron-block LQ4 LS V8. It has a capacity of 6.0 liters and a low compression ratio, so is ripe for a spot of twin-turbocharging.
Elsewhere, Steinbacher’s creation will be equipped with a manual gearbox from an old Audi R8, and will wear carbon-fiber body panels from a Huracan Super Trofeo. The final FrankenLambo is scheduled to be unveiled at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, so you have a bit of time to recollect your senses...
