Few things are more nerve-wracking than being stuck in traffic when you’re trying to catch something—be it a flight, an important meeting, or yes, even a concert.
After all, no one wants to spend half their favorite band’s set making their way to the event venue via a sea of red lights. So, if you ever find yourself in this situation, your best bet is probably to do as Maine Mendoza recently did and ditch four wheels for just two. Look:
“Magtataping pero hindi susuko! Dibale nang dugyot basta #LabanLany!” Mendoza said in a tweet. The band she was trying to catch is LANY, the indie-pop trio from Los Angeles, California, that is responsible for hits like ‘Super Far’ and ‘Malibu Nights.’
“Nairaos! Pakiramdam ko may hinabol akong jowa na paalis ng bansa,” Mendoza said in a separate tweet. “Iba kayo @thisisLANY! Hindi ko ’to nagawa kay Chris Martin. Baka magtampo. Anyway, you guys were amazing! Thanks for giving us a great show! ‘Til the next!”
We’re glad to see Mendoza managed to make it to the show. What band would you brave any level of Manila traffic to see up close?
