Top Gun: Maverick is easily one of the biggest films of the year. The movie has already grossed well over $1 billion, climbing all-time charts and setting records along the way.
Inspired by the recent film, the guys at Wheel Gallery—the official distributor of Method Race Wheels in the Philippines—set up a shoot with the top guns of the Philippine Air Force. The team was able to conduct the photoshoot with the help of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Bong Nebrija, a naval aviator himself.
The photos you see here were taken at the Basa Air Base in Pampanga, home of the 7th Tactical Fighter Squadron, one of the flying units under the 5th Fighter Wing assigned to operate the FA-50PH Fighting Eagle light combat aircraft.

Wheel Gallery took the opportunity to showcase the products in its portfolio. The Philippine Air Force—which is coincidentally celebrating its 75th anniversary this year as well—also flexed its latest arsenal during the session.
“We are very thankful to the Philippine Air Force for giving us this opportunity to witness firsthand the technological advances and modernization of our country’s Air Force,” says Wheel Gallery president Sam Liuson. “Just like our off-road vehicles, we always want the latest technologies and innovative gear such as Method Race Wheels to get our occasional weekend off-road ‘missions’ done safely. The modernization of the Philippine Air Force also embodies the motto of Method Race Wheels: Lighter. Stronger. Faster.”
