After some wait, it’s finally here—the all-new Mitsubishi Destinator has arrived. This is the Japanese carmaker’s new seven-seater SUV that’s been making headlines these past few months.
The Destinator is the XForce’s bigger sibling, positioned above the Xpander and below the Montero Sport in the lineup. It packs a turbocharged engine and a wide range of extra features to boot. While it’s not a hybrid, this new Mitsubishi will challenge even the electrified crossovers dominating the market right now.

Variants and prices of the Mitsubishi Destinator 2026

As shared prior to the launch, the Mitsubishi Destinator will start at an introductory price of P1.289 million. Three variants will be available, with the top-spec trim stickering for P1.799 million. For all vehicle releases made until January 31, 2026, customers will receive Destinator Adventure Gear merchandise.

Exterior

The Destinator has the next-generation Dynamic Shield design, which we first saw in the XForce. The T-shaped headlights up front flank a black plastic grille with silver accents on the sides. There’s a bulky-looking front bumper with a mix of black and gray plastics.
Underbody claddings wrap around the vehicle, with additional contrasting trim on the doors. The rear features taillights and bumpers that match the front fascia. An embossed ‘Destinator’ badge is also plastered on the tailgate.

Color options are namely: Red Metallic, Blade Silver Metallic, Jet Black Mica, Graphite Gray Metallic, Lunar Blue Mica, and Quartz White Pearl.

The inside of the Destinator comes with a mix of leather materials and hard plastics. A combination of brown, black, and gray trim adorn the cabin. The layout is familiar—it’s very similar to the XForce and Triton. The steering wheel, the A/C controls on the center console, and the gearshift lever have all been taken from the Mitsubishi parts bin.
Three rows are available, and there’s enough space for seven people. The rear seats fold flat for extra cargo space. There’s a large panoramic sunroof up top as well.

Under the hood of the Destinator is a second-generation 4B40 engine, which is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine pushing out 161hp at 5,000rpm and 250Nm of torque at 2,500-4,000rpm. This is mated to a continuously variable transmission that drives the front wheels.
Extra features of the Mitsubishi Destinator 2026

There’s a wide range of extra features available, starting with the pair of screens up front. There’s an eight-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The latter comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as a premium Yamaha speaker system.
There’s a Smart Rear View Mirror, a 360-degree-view camera, and 64-color ambient lighting. Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing is also available, which is a suite of safety tech that includes forward-collision warning with autonomous emergency braking and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.
Mitsubishi Connect, the brand’s subscription-based Connected Car Services, is also available. This lets owners connect to their vehicles via a dedicated smartphone app, enabling remote features for the climate control, door lock/unlock, light control, horn control, and SOS/emergency roadside assistance.
