MVP tweets faulty electric bus part of Chinese tricks to one-up Gilas team

Intentional or coincidental?

Manny V. Pangilinan tweet

Gilas Pilipinas patron Manny V. Pangilinan tweeted before the FIBA Asia basketball championship game between the Philippines and China that the electric bus assigned to take the Gilas team to the stadium had been delayed, and that the reason given was that it "failed to charge."

The businessman was basically implying that it was part of host China's scheme to gain an unfair advantage over the Philippine team. "Less time for warm-up," he said.

Of course, you already know that the Philippines lost by 11 points, 78-67. Our players kept missing shot after shot--particularly at the free throw line. Was the lack of warm-up time--as MVP suggested--a significant factor in this?

On a side note, we don't know which is worse for China: the allegation that they rigged the game, or the fact that their vehicles are faulty.
