Poll: How are the services of taxis in 2019?

Despite the rapid rise of ride-sharing companies over the past few years, taxis have survived the times and continue to ply the roads each and every day. However, their less-than-stellar reputation can’t be denied.

Nearly everyone has a taxi-related horror story—choosy drivers asking for extra pay, shoddy cars with barely functioning A/C, and so on. The powers that be, from Congress to the various government bodies in charge, are usually coming up with new laws and schemes to try and alleviate passengers’ taxi woes. Some work better than others, naturally.

And yet, we recognize that some (or many) of you still choose to take taxis over other modes of public transportation. Perhaps it’s due to their ready availability (sometimes it’s easier to line up at a taxi queue than to book a ride on your phone). Maybe you simply prefer taxis. Or maybe there’s another underlying reason. Whatever your logic might be, we want to hear about your experiences.
